Just being me =] asked:

I have to do an italian project on Puccini. I looked up some info on him and apparently he was an opera composer. I have to answer in italian in 2 sentences why he is famous. I was going to say he was most famous for ” o mio babbino caro” from gianni schichi. Is that his most well known pece? I only have to choose one work. Is there another that is better?

You’ve chosen a very famous aria, but the opera it is from is relatively obscure. If you’re supposed to say which opera he is most famous for, that will be either La Boheme or Madame Butterfly (with Tosca perhaps in third place). [who]
