First, you have to remember that Rafael Tufiño was very versatile, so he had the ability to work as painter and print maker (from which he made linocuts, woodcuts, and silkscreen posters). Here are some examples of his artwork:

Among his most documented “paintings” are: “Goyita” (Galeria Nacional, Old San Juan), Majestad Negra (Cooperativa de Seguros Multiples Collection), “Homenaje a Don Zoilo Cajigas” (Ricardo Alegria Collection), Psicoanalisis del Vejigante, Mujer ante el Espejo (Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico), El Mural de la Plena (located at Centro de Bellas Artes in San Juan), La Botella (Museo de Arte de Ponce), and Vita Cola (Museo de Arte de Ponce).

If want to know about his graphic work, you can look up for the followings: El Cortador de Caña (Sugar Cane Cutter), El Portafolio de las Plenas (which contains 6 woodcuts: Santa Maria, Temporal, Cortaron a Elena, Fuego Isidora and Que Bonita Es), The Coffee Portfolio, Danza Negra, and Los Casos de Ignacio y Santiago. Among his famous silkscreen posters are: El Santero, La Plena, La Casa de un amigo, La Noche de Don Manuel, La Carreta, Pedacito de Tierra, 25th Aniversary of DIVEDCO and La palabra escrita.

If you still need more infomation you can look up the book: Tufiño, Pintor del Puerblo (Painter of the People) published by Museo de arte de Puerto Rico and Museo Del Barrio (2003). Hope this help on your question. Joandiel Resto
