How is a regular kid supposed to become a famous singer, without an agent, and parents with no time?

I’ve always wanted to be a singer, I am a singer, but I want to become famous, help my parents out, but they want me to be the best in academics, so I can be successful in life. My parents don’t have time to take me to any auditions, or the money for me to make a demo. So I’ve been stuck in chorus, because singing is my passion.

basically, the music business is about luck, being in the right place at the right time, it is also about who you know. What I would do, is make a demo (just record one at home) and go to a record label, and give it to them. Also, look in a major city near you for auditions for acting/singing modelling, being in music videos and such will helpo, you will also meet alot of people who can help you. stephhyy<3
I’m in the same exact situation. With the exception that my cousin works at a recording studio and I can come anytime except that’s in NYC and I’m in Chicago. I would love to hire an agent but I’m a college student which equals not enough money. Not You

If singing is your passion like you say? Then sing.. no one is stopping you. The fact that you are in choir is good enough.
Anything else you want must all be about getting credit, appreciation, notoriety.. so really you’re just another wannabee kid… yawn! BeCoolYeh
The thing to try is called Ipop. Look it up, and research it a bit! Tons of stars have been discovered there! My friend went to L.A. for ipop and she got 3rd place!
