Mason asked:

I know there are several variations of the story of King Author, Merlin, The Knights of the Round Table, and Excalibur. What was the most famous of these? I’m looking for the original, maybe not the first, but the work that sparked so many others to create their own version of the story.

Thanks!

I am translating a famous modern play into English. The playwright is deceased for about 20 years. Do I need to get some kind of special permission from her estate to translate, or produce, or maybe publish the work I translated?

Crazyloulou12 asked:

I love to sing, and not to brag and all, but I do have a great voice. One problem: I am shy. I love to write and i let all of my friends read my books. Another problem: I feel embarrassed about my writing if I think it is not that good. Once again, shy. The bright side? I love in Los Angeles, California, so it is kind of next to Hollywood.
I am 12 years old and really want to be famous, so can you help me?

I am looking for a list of famous female characters (from novels), who are very academically minded. By that I mean characters who had a strong interest in education, reading, learning, school, etc. An example would be Hermione Granger of the Harry Potter series. Thanks in advance!

What was the book where the clue was hidden in the back of a famous statue in Europe?

Signilda asked:

Someone wrote in Reader’s Digest that they read this intriguing book (maybe about spies) where the big clue was a note hidden in the neck of a famous statue. This person actually visited the statue and reached behind it and found a note which read “good book, wasn’t it”. I always wanted to know the name of that book and the name of the statue too.
