Any ideas about a famous person I could write a speech about?

I have to write a speech about a famous person, real or fictional. But I can’t seem to think of someone to do it about! Please give me a few ideas, but no “sports heroes”.

    try Micheal Faraday. He rose from being the son of an itinerant blacksmith to being one of the greatest scientists of his day. His biography makes interesting reading, he even turned down a knighthood. smiffydurham

    What about a person that has changed your nations, or the worlds history, for the betterment or detriment of mankind, or maybe someone who has bettered the lives of endangered animals. From the fiction side you could try someone like Superman Pharo

    - The author of your most favorite book
    - Your most favorite character in film, television or book
    - An historical figure that you could find lots of information
    - How about someone who is not famous in your country but somewhere else e.g. if your American how about choosing someone famous in the UK?
    - An inventor
    - A singer/song writer you enjoy listening to

    I will presume youve read Roald Dahl’s books or at least watched the movie,Charlie and the Chocolate. Factory. Write about him, he was an author of childrens books, War hero etc. & you can find him in the internet. Google him. Em
